HANDICAPS:

Players to provide 18 hole HDCP prior to their first round, will be adjusted week to week using an in-house system.

  • We understand that not everyone will know what their HDCP and that's ok! We'll take your best guess and we will adjust accordingly after your first round if it is clearly incorrect. If a correction is necessary, it will be applied retroactively to your first round so that results remain as fair as possible.

  • We also know that outside HDCPs don't always translate to sim golf. Some players play extremely well on sims, while others may struggle, so we do our very best to make sure players have HDCPs that are representative of their abilities to make it fair and fun for all players and teams.

Team Captains will be notified of any HDCP adjustments that are outside the standard weekly calculated adjustments and provided with a justification.

  • For example, if someone says they are a 15HDCP (18 hole HDCP) and then shoot a NET -5 on 9 holes, that projects to being -10 over 18 holes...which means the 15HDCP is incorrect and it will be adjusted retroactively and applied to that round.

  • We take HDCPs very seriously as maintaining a league that is fair and fun is paramount to the success of the league.

Note

A HDCP is NOT based on what you typically shoot, it is based on what you are CAPABLE of shooting.

  • If you typically shoot around 90, that does not mean you are an 18HDCP. You are likely closer to a 10HDCP because you are capable of shooting 80 if you have a good round.

  • If your HDCP is accurate you should only shoot NET even or better about 1 out of every 5 rounds.
